Portable Toilet Waste Disposal enquiry

Portable toilet waste disposal is needed when temporary facilities fill during an event, construction work or routine site use. We collect from the specified units or holding tanks and use a treatment facility that can accept the sewage and additives present.

Treatment additives

Chemical-toilet additives affect the assessment of waste sent for treatment.

Peak attendance

Busy events can shorten the collection interval even when the number of units stays the same.

Toilet additives and waste treatment

Chemical toilets use products to control odour or assist operation. Those products and their concentration affect how the waste can be handled and treated. A facility accepting ordinary sewage may have different requirements for chemical-toilet waste, and surface-water drains must not be used for disposal.

Collections during busy periods

Visitor numbers and available storage determine how quickly facilities fill. A short, busy event may need more attention than the same units used steadily on a quieter site. Vehicle and hose movements must be kept clear of occupied areas during the collection.

Units and separate holding tanks

Some temporary installations discharge to a larger storage tank, while others retain waste in individual units. Leaking containers and high levels need attention alongside routine removal. Cleaning the toilets and replenishing chemicals are separate servicing tasks. Individual units and shared holding tanks can therefore require different collection points on the same site.

Portable Toilet Waste Disposal: common questions

Can this waste be discharged into a septic tank?

The sewage system would need assessing for the chemical additives and loading. Do not assume a septic installation can accept waste from portable toilets.

Are replacement toilet chemicals included?

If unit servicing is separately included, the agreed work can cover the appropriate replenishment as well as waste removal.

Can collection take place during an event?

It can be planned around occupied areas, with safe vehicle access and the affected units kept clear while attended.

How is collection frequency decided?

Expected use and available holding capacity determine how quickly waste accumulates. Peak attendance matters as well as the number of units.

Can the waste go into a surface-water drain?

No. It must go to an appropriate treatment facility; a surface-water drain is not a sewage disposal point.
